Intermediate Technical Business Analyst

Reporting to the I.T. Manager this position is responsible for the design, support, maintenance, implementing, analysis, data and voice networks, and security systems within a multi-plant/country environment.  
       
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Maintain, enhance and provide backup for Blue Giants Information Technology infrastructure.
  • Implement/support ERP Mobile applications.
  • Implement Inventory Barcoding systems.
  • Assist with ERP and Engineering system upgrades.
  • Perform external/internal security audits as needed.
  • Manage outsourced external vendor projects.
  • Ensure server backup and restore procedures are in place and operational.
  • Maintain and enhance the Microsoft Group Policy system.
  • Create and maintain financial, sales, production and engineering Crystal reports.
  • Provide end user support as it relates to ERP System, cellular and the voice/data network.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve voice/data infrastructure issues.
REQUIRED STRENGTHS
 
  • University Degree or 2-3 Year College Diploma in Information Technology. 
  • MCITP or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years administering a Windows network environment; Minimum of 8-10 years administering an ERP system.
  • Minimum of 5 years administering a voice (Avaya) and data network.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating system (2008/2012); Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong knowledge of Symantec Backup Exec and SEPM.
  • Exposure to barcoding and shop floor data collection systems.
  • Exposure to SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD Engineering software; Exposure to Crystal Reports
  • Exposure to multi-plant manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to travel between manufacturing facilities on an as needed basis.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve business and technical issues in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to work weekends during system upgrades; Ability to work outside regular business hours as needed.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Using or wearing the equipment, PPE that Blue Giant requires
  • Reporting to his or her supervisor any contravention of the OHSA, regulations, or Blue Giant policies and procedures.
  • Reporting any observed hazards to the supervisor; Reporting any risks or potential risks of violence or harassment encountered in the workplace immediately to supervisor
