With a carrying capacity of 4,000 lbs (1,814 kgs) and a 24-volt AC traction motor, the new D40 electric pallet truck from Blue Giant delivers precise and powerful operation in tight working environments.

“The D40 was designed specifically to address the unique demands of lift gate and local delivery applications,” says Jeff Miller, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Blue Giant. “It’s more compact than a regular powered pallet truck, permitting easier maneuverability when working in loaded trailers. The maintenance-free AGM batteries and the opportunity charge option ensure continuous performance throughout a long delivery day.”

The D40 is ideally suited for delivery trucks, retail outlets and production facilities as well as general shipping and receiving. Its easy operation keeps both productivity and efficiency levels at their highest: responsive tiller arm controls offer smooth directional changes and the crawl speed function enables uninterrupted use in tight areas.

At the core of the D40 is the vertically mounted AC drive motor. Its brushless design eliminates the need for routine brush inspection and replacement. The optimized gear technology supplies advantages such as minimal envelope circle, low noise level, and responsive performance. The electromagnetic braking system delivers reliable frictionless braking even during extended and heavy use.

Barry Miwa, Sales Manager for Blue Giant’s industrial trucks division, confirms that the D40 has a long operating life and low lifetime cost. “Compact dimensions, minimum steering effort, and minimal maintenance requirements make it an ideal solution for all material handling needs.”
