Eagle VI HVLS Fan

DESCRIPTION

Blue Giant received an inquiry from a distribution center experiencing temperature control issues. Hot summers produced excessive internal heat gain and a poorly insulated roof allowed for the escape of the much needed heat during the winter.

These temperature fluctuations resulted in increased energy costs and poor employee comfort levels, resulting in lower productivity and employee morale.

The distribution center was in need of an economical solution to combat seasonal temperature fluctuations that provided a 2 year ROI.

SOLUTION

By using two Eagle VI – Six Blade 16' diameter fans, Blue Giant introduced a cool indoor breeze during the summer months; we were able to successfully decrease and regulate internal temperatures at the distribution center. This resulted in decreased energy costs and resolved productivity and employee comfort issues.

During the winter months our HVLS fans worked with existing radiant tube heaters by operating the fans at lower RPM’s. We were able to destratify the building, reducing the company’s energy cost by 30% in the cooler months. This minimized the temperature differential from ceiling to floor and provided additional warm air at floor level.
