Blue Giant 60th Anniversary

Blue Giant Equipment Corporation is pleased to celebrate its 60th anniversary of serving the needs of customers around the world in 2023. The company is the premier provider of safe, effective, and innovative loading docks and material handling equipment solutions. 

Blue Giant was founded in 1963 by Kurt Larsen, and quickly became a leading manufacturer of dock levelers and hand pallet trucks. The company’s consumer base expanded rapidly, leading to new product offerings in various aspects of loading dock and material handling solutions. 

Over the years, the company has grown to become a major global presence, exporting to more than 40 countries and boasting manufacturing facilities in four countries.

Its main sales verticals include Distribution partners, direct to Construction contractors for Industrial warehousing projects, and its National Accounts program known as NationCare®.

Blue Giant is a proud member of the Materials Handling Industry (MHI) trade association and plays an active role in industry product groups for ‘Loading Dock Equipment Manufacturers’ ‘Lift Table Manufacturers’ and ‘Ergonomic Assist Systems Equipment Council’. These groups set the standards for design and safety of this critical equipment. The company’s Mississauga manufacturing facility proudly includes advanced robotic welding cells, a 700 ft automated powder coat paint system, and source capture fume and dust extraction that is environmentally friendly. Between its multiple locations, the company provides high-value jobs to more than 400 employees.
